We’re excited to share the story behind the launch of the official SLMASA Facebook group.
The need for a social media presence was recognised in 2022, and as a result, the Facebook group was created to serve as our first step into the digital space. Until then, SLMASA had no presence on any social media platforms.
The group was established to improve communication within the community by using a widely accessible and familiar platform. It also aimed to build our online presence, making it easier for new migrants and recent arrivals in South Australia to find and connect with SLMASA.
Have a read through the important points below to understand how the group operates and how you can be a part of it.
The group is created as a private group on Facebook, where members are required to request and join in if they wish to.
This is a private group, only accepted members will be seeing the content of the group.
SLAMASA has been rebranded with a new logo. Special thanks to Brother Rizwan for helping me to convert my conceptual art work into digital graphics.
To make the group admin’s life easy, the process of accepting/rejecting join-in requests has been automated, hence Facebook will accept requests with complete join-in questions.
To prevent spam and fake profiles, Facebook will automatically reject member requests that come in from suspicious profiles.
Only ‘Admins’ will be posting on the group. Further guidelines are published on the group.
Not only SLMASA events will be posted, we would be posting important information that could be useful for community members.
The group is happy to promote special talents, businesses, job opportunities, educational services, property, halal food/restaurants, financial services. religious events and other services of our members as well as available around SA.
If you have questions or problems accessing the group or wish to suggest making a post, contact committee admins.
We once again thank everyone who encouraged the idea and helped create this group which will be one of our major platforms for communication and interaction going forward. Feel free to join through the link shared below.
