Following the devastating terrorist attacks that shook the entire nation of Sri Lanka on April 21, 2021, Sri Lankans living abroad organized various programs to express their grief and solidarity. Among these, on Sunday, May 12, the South Australian Sri Lankan Muslim Association (SLMASA) organized a program titled “Prayer for Unity and Healing”, which was held at the Al-Salaam Hall of the Islamic Society of South Australia.

The success of the event was greatly supported by the participation of religious leaders and representatives from all Sri Lankan Catholic, Buddhist, and Hindu organizations, who came together in a spirit of unity and cooperation.

Representing the Council of Imams of South Australia, Imams from the Vandana and Marion Mosques were present at the event. The keynote speech was delivered by Professor Mohammad Abdalla from The Centre for Islamic Knowledge and Thought.
