In a proud and historic milestone, the Sri Lankan Muslims Association of South Australia was recently approached by CeyFlixTV, a Sri Lankan television channel based in South Australia, for a special feature interview. This invitation marked the very first time in SLMASA’s history that the association has been represented on a television platform; an achievement that highlights the growing recognition and impact of the organisation within the wider community. The interview focused on the significance of Ramadan, the practice of fasting, and the role of SLAMSA in supporting and connecting the Sri Lankan Muslim community in South Australia. It was an excellent opportunity to share insights, raise awareness, and showcase the values and initiatives of the association to a broader audience.
Representing SLAMSA at this important occasion were Fayaadh Hamid and Aakyl Haniffa, who spoke on behalf of the organisation and its ongoing efforts. The recording took place at the CeyFlixTV studio in a professional and engaging setting.
The program was telecast on Eid Day, the 20th of March, making it even more meaningful as it coincided with a time of celebration and reflection for the Muslim community. The interview has also been made available online via CeyFlixTV’s Facebook page and YouTube channel, extending its reach to audiences both locally and globally.
This media presence is a significant step forward for SLMASA. It not only strengthens the association’s visibility but also opens doors for future collaborations, community engagement, and representation in mainstream media.
We are pleased to share the full episode of the interview below and encourage everyone to watch and share this special moment.
